Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
DartCV is designed to collect as little as possible: your games are played and stored on your device. This page explains exactly what leaves it, and why.
Who is responsible
Mathis Glaude, publisher of DartCV, private individual living in Belgium. Contact: mathisglaude1@gmail.com
Why we may use this data (legal bases)
Account and sync, second screen: needed to provide the service you ask for (performance of a contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Anonymous statistics and technical errors: our legitimate interest in understanding how DartCV is used, fixing bugs and improving it (art. 6.1.f GDPR); you can object at any time by switching them off.
Problem reports: your consent when you choose to send one (art. 6.1.a GDPR); you can withdraw it by asking us to delete the report.
What stays on your device
Player profiles and names, games, statistics and settings are stored in your browser (local storage). Without an account, they are never sent to us. You can export them or erase them at any time in Settings → Data.
Account (optional)
If you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your name, e-mail address and profile picture from them, and we save your profiles, games, bot record and display preferences so they can be synced across your devices. Nothing is shared with Google or Discord.
The account is for people aged 13 or over; under 13, a parent must agree.
This data is kept as long as the account exists. You can delete the account and all its online data at any time in Account → Delete my account.
The camera
The camera is only switched on when you use camera scoring or camera setup. Images are analysed on your device; they are never sent, saved or shared.
Second screen (/live)
If you share a game to a second screen, the game state (player names, scores, darts) goes through a relay hosted by Cloudflare so the other screen can display it. It is deleted at the latest 6 hours after the last activity.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand how DartCV is used and improve it, the app sends anonymous measurements: visits and screens viewed, games (mode, duration, darts and how they were entered), in-game performance, detection speed, loading time, technical errors, and the device type, system, browser, language and country (deduced by Cloudflare).
They are linked to a random device identifier, without any name, e-mail or IP address stored, and are kept 13 months at most.
You can switch this off at any time in Settings → Data → Anonymous usage statistics.
Problem reports
If you send a report, we receive your message, the e-mail address you choose to give (optional), and technical details: device type, system, browser, app version, current screen, latest technical errors and country (deduced by Cloudflare). They are only used to fix DartCV and answer you, and are kept 13 months at most.
What we never do
No advertising, no sale or sharing of data, no third-party cookies, no mandatory account.
Service provider
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, the accounts, the second-screen relay and the statistics. Data may be processed outside the European Union; these transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of data concerning you, ask for it to be restricted or handed over to you (portability), object to its processing or withdraw your consent, by writing to mathisglaude1@gmail.com. We reply within one month. Anonymous statistics cannot be linked to you: switching them off is enough to stop them.
If you think your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD / GBA), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be, or with the authority of the EU country where you live.
Changes
This policy may change as DartCV evolves; the date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
